With a mission to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell is transforming lives every day. With tremendous growth in attendance, fundraising, program development, and infrastructure improvements, it has become a true model of excellence and achievement, inspiring other organizations, as it inspires its youth, to dream bigger and achieve more. To meet the growing demand for its services, the Club has increased fundraising revenue by 44 percent over the past three years through innovative approaches, such as a monthly giving program, social media, and mobile bidding at their annual golf tournament and auction. Through their unwavering efforts and dedication to excellence, this organization has a profound impact on the lives of the youth they serve as they develop our community’s leaders of tomorrow.

Youth Development Organization

Each year, YDO – Youth Development Organization offers quality educational activities, supportive long-term relationships, and unlimited opportunities for success for more than 300 students from low-to-moderate income households. The structured and specialized afterschool and summer programs focus on science, technology, engineering, math, the performing and fine arts, and leadership development. The result is a community of self-motivated students who believe in themselves, perform to their potential, and are ready to take on the world. In the words of one member, “It takes children that society doesn’t think are good enough and shows them that by believing in themselves, they can be extraordinary.”
