Dr. Shelia Harrity

Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School

When you are the only educator in the nation in a year to land a sitting president as your school’s commencement speaker, you must be doing something right. You must be doing a whole lot right. Driven to ensure that her students graduate from high school both college and career ready, Dr. Shelia Harrity has achieved significant accolades during her transformative leadership as head of Worcester Technical High School, including both Massachusetts and National High School Principal of the Year, and a National Blue Ribbon School distinction for outstanding student achievement. In just three short years in her new role at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School District in Fitchburg, she has already had the same transformative impact. She also serves as Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, as well as a number of other prominent positions in education.
